Here's the obligatory post to greet you all a nice and merry Christmas. Below are the newest toys I acquired in chronological order:

1. 2nd Generation iPod Shuffle 1GB. Things I hate about this toy: I can't recharge and listen at the same time since it recharges using the same plug as the headphones. I can't use it as a USB stick by itself, I have to carry that USB cable thingie. Surely some people would come up with those iPod accessories by now.


2. Fingerprinting Device. Got 'ya. That's what aCidz called it. SonyEricsson Z610i. This is a replacement unit for my SonyEricsson K608i. I'm a high usage customer. Gimme my new mobile handset. Things I hate about this mobile phone: You can't recharge and use the wired handsfree kit. They plug into the same hole. What's up with you people ? Put everything in the same hole. Hence the recent acquisition for the next item.


3. HBH-610. Perfect look for that busy-man or I'm-an-agent-therefor-bow-before-me. Things I hate about this device: It doesn't fit snugly into my ear.


4. Silver PS2 Slimline. Don't ask me. I'm playing FF X now, although it seems that I just don't have the energy to keep playing more than 30 minutes. This applies to World of Warcraft, too.

Here's mine:

An initial IKE packet is sent (with Agrressive mode, a UserID is also specified), and based on the time elapsed and types of responses sent, the VPN server can be identified based on service fingerprints. In addition to the VPN fingerprinting functionality, IKE-scan includes psk-crack, which is a program used to dictionary crack pre-shared keys (psk) used for VPN logins. IKE-scan does not have fingerprints for all VPN vendors, and since the fingerprints change based on version increase, you may not find a fingerprint for your specific VPN, but you can still gain useful information, such as the Authentication type and encryption algorithm used, as shown in Figure 2.15.
